As I have stated, I have completed one car and I am working on my second. For those of you that do not know, there are two main types of R/C cars -- Electric and Nitro (Fuel). I prefer R/C cars with electric motors due to their simplier operation. Both of the cars that I have worked on use electric motors.
The first R/C car that I built was a Tamiya TL-01. The TL-01 is a one-tenth (1/10) scale car. The kit that I built came with a body based upon a 1997 Toyota Gelica GT4. For the transmitter, I used a Hitec. I also used a Hitec receiver. The kit came with an analog, stepped speed controller. After using the car for a while, I quickly upgraded the car to an electronic speed control from Hitec (???).
My second car is a much more advanced model. The Ofna Z10 Pro Mark II is a racing class car. For this car, I am using a Futaba transmitter and receiver. The electronic speed controller is by Futuba. The engine is a Trinity Green Machine3 Pro.
After I finish the Ofna Z10, I may go one to build an HPI. Probably an RS4.
